About

anMari is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer based in London. She embraces the power of simplicity; combining neoclassical piano melodies and alternative/gospel vocals she creates cinematic pop music.

After she graduated from Polish Music School where she did Classical Percussion Instruments Diploma such as marimba, vibraphone, xylophone etc., she decided to change her music career direction by doing a Songwriting Degree at the Academy of Contemporary Music in London. She is currently studying at London College of Contemporary Music doing Masters Degree in Music Performance - Contemporary Piano.

She began learning piano at the age of six from classical music, through jazz to contemporary music. She now combines minimalist and neoclassical piano melodies with elements of gospel vocals creating her alternative genre. In her compositions, she embraces the power of simplicity as "letters of peace where anyone can rest in the dimension of freedom". Following the dictum "less is more", in 2022 she produced and released an ep - "REBORN". With her mission of "spreading the beauty" she did not stop creating the music and recently released her debut album - "FREEDOM+"

Highlights

During her secondary school years, she competed in national and international competitions (Saint Petersburg - Russia; Wroclaw - Poland) winning first prizes. She was a member of the school chamber ensemble and bands performing with singers from 'The Voice of Poland'. Continuing her musical journey in London, she took part and became a finalist in the 'Alpha Unsigned' Record Label UK Competition, performing at Indigo 02. As a composer, she has contributed to various projects with original music such as "Making Theatre Green" at the National London Theatre, "Semper" - a screening for the Palma Film Festival in Poland and "Freedom" - a project of the Municipal Cultural Center "Amphitheater" in Radom. In October 2023 she won the Matthew Knowles Scholarship Competition at the London College of Contemporary Music, having the honour of being judged and selected as the winner by Matthew Knowles himself (father and ex-manager of Beyonce).
